Media Talk: ITV, Sky and the silly season

Stephen Brook is in the presenter's chair for this week's Media Talk, ably assisted by Maggie Brown and Steve Busfield.

We begin by analysing a tale of two broadcasters. First, ITV chief executive Adam Crozier has outlined his channel's online and pay-TV strategy, while over at BSkyB, bosses are looking to snap up more first-class US drama.
But which would you pay to watch: Ant and Dec, or Mad Men and Breaking Bad?

Also in the podcast, we dig into the archive to hear that Radio 5 Live controller Adrian van Klaveren's announcement that he's not relocating to Salford should come as no surprise. Will BBC management now force AVK and Peter Salmon to move to the north-west?

Plus, it's Rajars week, and even though Chris Evans has lost 1 million listeners, he's still miles ahead of everyone else on the airwaves. Still, there's some cheer for commercial radio, with the likes of TalkSport, Absolute Radio and Kiss celebrating excellent second quarters.

Finally, in the absence of much real news, we look at the silly season and ask: why was Naomi Campbell's date in court leading the BBC's news bulletins?
