The Baltimore Ravens have seen quarterback Lamar Jackson grow into a star over his first three seasons in the NFL. Now entering his fourth year, Jackson is expected to take another big leap. However, it seems like the team doesn’t want people to see their quarterback in action at practice.
When responding to a fan, Jamison Hensley of ESPN revealed that media is apparently no longer allowed to film Jackson throwing the football to receivers.

The stance taken by Baltimore on media filming Jackson is a bit of a surprise. However, it makes sense, and there are a few reasons why the Ravens might have implemented the rule.
For one, the team was heavily criticized for posting a video of Jackson throwing a wobbly yet accurate pass to wide receiver Sammy Watkins. While it doesn’t matter how much of a spiral a throw is as long as it gets to its intended destination, it still was the target of plenty of backlash.
Despite that, it feels like the main reason behind this is the fact that the team posted back to back videos of both Watkins and fellow wide receiver Rashod Bateman running a unique route concept. The videos have since been deleted, most likely because the organization believed that they were giving away too much about their offense, which is expected to add plenty of wrinkles to their passing game.
Even though the videos in question were put out by Baltimore themselves, it seems like the team is just covering their bases by forbidding any media member from taking videos of Jackson throwing to receivers. They most likely want to keep many things about their offense a secret, and because of that it feels like there might not be another video of Jackson throwing to his receivers at practice for a long time.
