The SEC media members have picked their SEC divisional champions for the 2020 college football season.
Surprisingly, the media has the Florida Gators making it out of the SEC East and playing Alabama in the SEC Championship. Florida received 53 first-place votes to Georgia’s 43. This would be the first time in three years Georgia would be left out of the SEC Championship. It has also beaten the Gators three years in a row.
The media did, however, give Georgia more votes to win the SEC than it did Florida, by a score of 7 to 5. Alabama received 77 votes to win the conference.
The media also picked its preseason all-SEC team and placed three Bulldogs on the first team – all coming from the defensive side of the ball — Jordan Davis, Malik Herring and Richard LeCounte.
On the second team, Georgia had George Pickens, Trey Hill, Monty Rice, Eric Stokes and Jake Camarda.
Zamir White was the only Dawg on the third team.
