This week, SEC Media Days took place in Hoover, Alabama. At the end of the event, media members submit their picks for how the conference standings will shake out by the end of the season.
Recently, the results of this ballot were collected and released for the public, and it was revealed that the media had picked Georgia to three-peat for the SEC East crown.
The Dawgs received 233 first-place votes from the media members. Their friends from Florida were in second with just 21 first-place votes, showing the disparity between Georgia and the rest of their inter-division rivals.
The media also picked Alabama to come away with the SEC West crown.
While in theory these media projections are meaningless in terms of what actually goes down on the field, it’s still nice to see that the nation still heavily favors the Dawgs to come out on top of the East for a third straight year.
