A mechanic investigating a 'funny noise' coming from inside a car was shocked to discover a rabbit hiding behind the dashboard.
Garage owner Gari Wyn Jones received a call from a family who had bought a car from them about a "scratching and rattling" noise coming from inside their VW Tiguan.
But the last thing Gari, who owns Ceir Cymru garage in Caernarfon, expected was to find a rabbit taking shelter behind the glove box.
"A salesman took a phone call from a family concerned that a funny noise was coming from behind the glove box," 64-year-old Gari said.
"We started stripping the car apart when all of a sudden out popped this little face - of a little baby bunny rabbit."
Video footage captures the moment the rabbit pops out of its secret VW warren.
As the mechanic dismantles the glove box to investigate the noise, he can be heard saying; "Oh, hello" as he spots the creature.
"No-one really knows how the rabbit got there," Gari said.
"The people who own the car have a lot of pets and a lot of rabbits - and they must have left the car door open for it to hop on board.
"The mystery of the whole thing was that you couldn't see anything in there until we took it apart."
Thankfully the bunny appeared to be unhurt and was put into a cardboard box and kept safe until the owners arrived back at the garage.
The "relieved" family collected the car - and took the bunny back home in the cardboard box.
"The wellbeing of our customers and the wellbeing of their animals are all part and parcel of the care we give," Gari added.
