Meath's Jordan Morris scores incredible tally on Championship debut in Wicklow rout

Jordan Morris made a sensational Championship debut for Meath as the Royals hit Wicklow with SEVEN goals on their way to booking a Leinster semi-final place.

Morris notched an incredible personal tally of 3-4 in Aughrim as Meath coasted to a 7-14 to 0-4 victory, setting up a last four meeting with Kildare or Offaly, who clash later today.

Corner-forward Morris made a brilliant cameo appearance off the bench for Andy McEntee's men when they snatched a late league draw against Monaghan in Clones on October 25.

And McEntee handed the Nobber clubman his full debut today - in which he didn't disappoint.

1-3 of his 3-4 total came from play, while he also slotted two late penalties and notched a point from a free.

Bryan Menton helped himself to 1-1 as Meath ran riot, while Matthew Costello, Joey Wallace and Cathal Hickey also got goals for the Royals.

Elsewhere in Leinster this afternoon, Laois survived a scare in Pearse Park to edge out Longford by 1-16 to 1-14, setting up a semi-final clash against Dublin.

Kildare take on Offaly in the one remaining quarter-final at 5:30pm this evening and you can follow all the action with Mirror Sport's live blog.
