Meath move to appoint Bernard Flynn as under-20 boss

Bernard Flynn has been ratified as Meath under-20 boss for the next two years.

The Royals legend has previous managerial experience with Mullingar Shamrocks and has a hugely experienced coaching set-up in place.

It includes Graham Geraghty, the former Meath star who had life-saving surgery over two months ago.

Also included are former Mayo Ladies manager Peter Leahy, ex-Dublin, Ipswich and Bohemians goalkeeper Shane Supple, Graham Reilly and Robbie Brennan.

The under-20 provincial championships are due to start at the end of March, with a straight knock-out format.

The under-20 All-Ireland final is pencilled in for the start of May.

Flynn, a two-time All-Ireland winner at senior level, will be working with a core group who won the Leinster MFC title in 2018.
