Meat-alternative brand launches with Ocado

Meat alternative brand, Jack & Bry, has launched its jackfruit meat-free range on Ocado.

The partnership will allow customers in the UK to order jackfruit meat alternatives straight to their door as part of their regular food shop for the first time.

The range of jackfruit burgers, sausages and mince was already available at online vegan supermarket The Vegan Kind as well as Jack & Bry’s own website, but with plans in place to launch into even more retailers later this year, this expansion makes these foods more accessible for home cooking.

Jack & Bry developed a trio of plant-based products infused with smoked locally sourced British oils to create vegan foods that look, taste, and feel like their meat counterparts.

The burgers, sausages and mince provide the perfect solution for meat-eaters looking to eat more plant-based without having to give up their all-time-favourite home-cooked winter warmers like spaghetti bolognese or sausages and mash.

The high-fibre content of the meat substitutes also makes it even easier for health-conscious consumers to maintain gut health and boost immunity, with the mince, burgers and sausages containing 7.5, 7.6 and 9.1 grams of fibre per 100 grams.

Bryony Tinn-Disbury, CEO and Founder of Jack & Bry, said: “Seeing our meats go live on the Ocado website is an exciting step. So far, our innovative approach to food has enabled us to produce best-in-category jackfruit meats that offer everyone a quick and easy way to eat vegan food with no fuss, and we are now focused on making Jack & Bry available for anyone, anywhere.”

Bea White, Buying Manager at Ocado Retail said: “We’re so excited to be the first grocery retailer to launch Jack & Bry's Jackfruit Vegan Meat range. As appetite for vegan alternatives increases, Jack & Bry is a great addition to our wide range of products on Ocado, helping our customers get their hands on some delicious meat alternatives as part of their regular food shop"
