Mean Girls' Jonathan Bennett marries Jaymes Vaughan in sweet ceremony in Mexico

Mean Girls' Jonathan Bennett is officially married to television host Jaymes Vaughan.

The actor - who played Aaron Samuels in the iconic 2004 film - and his new husband Jaymes got engaged in November 2020.

Over the weekend, the couple tied the knot in front of their closest friends and family at the Unio Riviera Maya Hotel in Mexico.

In pictures shared with People, the couple can be seen hand-in-hand as they walk down the aisle.

Another photo showed Jonathan bent over with overwhelming excitement as the two prepared to say 'I do' to each other.

"The whole purpose of our wedding is to come together and join the two of us together, join our families together and start a new family."

His hubby Jonathan added: "And all that, as we were going through this process, we realized that our wedding is also more than just about us. It's about the entire community."

The two - who started dating in 2017 - looked head over heels for each other and looked dapper in matching black suits, bow ties and shoes.

Jaymes and Jonathan met each other at the altar after walking into a song that Jaymes wrote for the love of his life at the couple's engagement.

The actor also revealed that James had even penned a song specifically for the momentous occasion.

"I said yes! And ugly cried like a crazy person," Jonathan wrote on social media.

"So excited to share this moment, from the custom rings he had made for us with @kayjewelers to the song he wrote and sang for me.

"Can’t wait to show you the video this week. But for right now just this moment of joy. #engaged #sponsored," Jonathan concluded.
