McFly have officially announced their comeback.

A day after sparking a flurry of speculation among their fans by sharing an enigmatic video on Twitter, the band revealed that they will play a reunion show London this November.

They will also release a new song every week leading up to the concert, which will take place at the O2 Arena on 20 November.

In 2018, the band tweeted: “Even though we are all working on solo projects in 2018, McFly are still looking forward to working on a new record some time in the future."

Fans are now hoping the band will announce a new album.

Their most recent record, Above the Noise, was released in 2010. It was the band’s fifth release, six years after their debut Room on the 3rd Floor.

Back in January this year, Poynter stoked rumours of a possible McFly comeback, telling Sean Smith’s Sappenin’ podcast: ‘McFly will at least start writing by the summer and I can’t wait.

“I love that band and I love the guys. It’s awesome.”
