McDonalds brings triple cheeseburger to 60 UK restaurants

McDonalds just upped its game with a new cheeseburger - featuring three meat patties - but it is only available to 60 locations across the country.

The fast food giant is trying out the addition to its menu as it also brings back the huge Grand Big Mac.

The triple cheeseburger, selling for around £2.49, could be rolled out to all 1,249 branches across the UK if it is a hit.

It features three slices of meat, three slices of cheese, all the usual dressing and sauce and the usual bun.

It was last tried on UK menus in 1994 for the world cup, when it was called the Hat Trick.

According to McDonalds the 520 calorie burger: "...is made with three 100% pure beef patties with absolutely no fillers, additives or preservatives, simply seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper and topped with tangy pickles, chopped onions, ketchup, mustard and two slices of melty American cheese."

The burger will be available at multiple branches across Worksop, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Balby, Thorne, Chesterfield, Barlborough, Hillsborough, Tankersely, Woodall, Cortonwood, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Hull, Cleethorpes, Willerby, Ennerdale, Bridlington, Laceby, York, Harrogate and Knaresborough.
