McDonald’s fans in the north were left ‘raging’ yesterday when the fast food giant confirmed which branches would reopen next week.
15 restaurants in the UK will reopen for delivery on May 13, but not one is in the north.
Meanwhile, Luton is being treated to not one, but three of its McDonald's reopening, and as you can imagine, people really aren't happy.
Taking to Twitter to share their disappointment, many called out McDonald’s for not opening any restaurants in the north of the UK.
One disgruntled fan said: “How’re McDonald’s saying they’re gonna open 15 restaurants around the UK for them all to be in London.”
We wanted to get to the bottom of this, so we asked McDonald's why these specific restaurants have been opened - and when we can expect to be able to order a Big Mac.
A representative for McDonald's told the MEN : "These 15 restaurants were chosen for their proximity to our distribution centre as we slowly but safely seek to reopen our restaurants and restart our supply chain.
"Rest assured we are working hard to reopen more restaurants across the UK and Ireland at the right time."
Looks like we'll just have to be patient and wait this one out for now.
