McDonald's to reopen Stirling drive-thru restaurant with a reduced menu

McDonald’s is to reopen its Drip Road drive through today (Wednesday).

The fast food giant have been closed since March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Big Macs and Happy Meals are back on the menu after McDonald's revealed that its drive through restaurant in the city will reopen.

Only the drive through will be open to customers.

Other restrictions are in place too, with the chain asking customers to pay with contactless where possible - and cap spending at £25. A reduced menu also means you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for a breakfast McMuffin.

Customers are also advised to use the MyMcDonald’s app to speed up their order in advance.

A spokesperson for the fast food chain said: “Over the last fortnight, our employees, franchisees and suppliers have worked tirelessly to implement new procedures to enable safe working so that we can now help all parts of the UK and Ireland to enjoy the return of the Big Mac.”

“Face coverings, gloves, Perspex screens and new safety and hygiene processes mean it will look different, it will take a little longer and as we have seen in the pilot restaurants, we expect demand will be high," McDonald's added.

“Please bear with us, we will continue to put our people first – their safety is our priority.”
