McDonald's to reopen in Dumbarton and Balloch this morning

McDonald’s is set to reopen in Dumbarton and Balloch from 11am today (Wednesday) according to the restaurant locator on its website.

Doors at the fast food giant were closed in March due to the pandemic, however the local restaurants are set to finally reopen today - albeit only from drive-thru customers.

Other restrictions are in place too, with the chain asking customers to pay with contactless when they can - and cap spending at £25. A reduced menu also means you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for a breakfast McMuffin.

Customers are also advised to use the MyMcDonald’s app to speed up their order in advance.

A spokesperson for the fast food chain said: “Over the last fortnight, our employees, franchisees and suppliers have worked tirelessly to implement new procedures to enable safe working so that we can now help all parts of the UK and Ireland to enjoy the return of the Big Mac.”

“Face coverings, gloves, Perspex screens and new safety and hygiene processes mean it will look different, it will take a little longer and as we have seen in the pilot restaurants, we expect demand will be high,” McDonald’s added.

“Please bear with us, we will continue to put our people first – their safety is our priority.”
