McDonald's staff in Balloch spread festive cheer to groups across area

Generous staff at McDonald’s in Balloch helped to spread some festive cheer to local good causes.

Crew members at the Old Luss Road restaurant chipped in to fund 200 selection boxes, which were donated to a collection of local good causes in time for the big day.

Strathleven Nursing Home, Dumbarton District Women’s Aid, Haldane Youth Services and local church group St Vincent De Paul all benefited from the very generous donations.

The idea came from restaurant assistant manager Peter Burgess, who explained why he was so keen to help the community.

He said: “It means a lot to us to help out in the community, because the community supports us by using our drive-thru. They pay our wages.

“I feel like it’s good for us to give something back.

“The staff each donated a few pounds towards us hitting our target that has helped us to achieve the goal we set.

“I feel that helping these charities shows how much McDonald’s cares about the local community.”
