McDonald’s slash price of Big Mac in one-day offer - here’s how to claim it

Fast food fans can get their hands on a cut-price Big Mac today - if they know about this handy app hack. Usually priced at £3.19, shoppers can save £1.90 with the deal, which takes the iconic burger to just £1.29.

Customers will be able to tuck into three buns, two beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onion and pickles for less, if they order via the McDonald’s app.

Customers can only access the offer via the McDonald’s app , ordering via their deals section before checking in at the restaurant to collect it. Though the order will be cheaper than if they order at the till, touch screens, drive thru or delivery services.

The deal is only available today, Monday, August 22, and customers will be able to earn points when they purchase the deal by opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

The new scheme means every penny spent equals one point, so this week’s offer will get you129 points when picking up your order.

When customers reach 1,500 points, they can choose between menu items including small fries, a hash brown, or a side salad. With 2,500 points, a double cheeseburger or vegetable deluxe is on the cards. Finally, with 4,000 points, customers can choose between menu favourites like six chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac

If you don’t fancy anything that’s on offer, the Taste of Spain and Cyprus menu is available until September 6, featuring the Mediterranean inspired Chicken Fiesta, Spicy Spanish Stack and Halloumi Fries. This will then be replaced by the ever-popular McDonald’s Monopoly, returning on September 7.

The Big Mac deal is exclusively available on the McDonald’s App and customers can start earning points on all orders by downloading via Google Play or the Apple App Store here , signing up and opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards.
