McDonald's set to add spicy nuggets to its UK menu - but only for a limited time

Fast food giant McDonald's is bringing something new to its UK customers - for a limited time fans of the humble chicken nugget will get to sample new spicy nuggets.

Yes, you read that correctly - spicy nuggets are about to be a thing .

The fast food chain is set to launch the new addition to the menu for seven weeks following a specially developed recipe, based on previous versions that have gone on sale in Asia and the US. They are actually a permanent fixture in Australia too - those lucky Aussies.

The spicy nuggets will be sold from 10am on 7 August, as reported by The Sun Online , and will come with a new Tabasco dip for those who like their food seriously hot.

The Sun reports that eager fast food fans can expect to pay £3.19 for six, £3.49 for nine or £4.99 for the 20 nugget snack box, which is about the same cost as the normal nuggets.

Youtube star Mark Ferris has already teased the new launch on Instagram a few days ago. The star posted this message to his 570,000 followers: "It may be cold at  @ynotfestival  but  @mcdonaldsuk  are turning up the [fire emojis] I’ve been given exclusive access to the new Spicy Nugget van! You will NOT be disappointed. Launching in the UK soon! Keep your peeled  #ad "

The new launch follows where several new items were made available for the first time.
