This month, McDonald's prices plummeted as VAT was slashed from 20 per cent to 5 pc.
The VAT cut means that some of our favourite menu items are cheaper than ever before - which is good news for our purses, but awful news for our waistlines.
From next month the Government's new Eat Out to Help Out scheme will be launched - meaning shoppers can get 50 pc off food - with a maximum discount of £10 per person.
20 shareboxes of chicken nuggets cost less than £2.40, while cheeseburgers are 49p. Mozzarella dippers cost less than a quid - as will medium milkshakes.
