McDonald's has confirmed which menu item is the official fan favourite.
The fast-food chain held a three-day long Twitter tournament with knockouts and crowned Big Mac as the winner.
McDonald's used its current reduced menu and invited those on social media to vote in a Twitter poll made up of knockout rounds.
The final saw the Big Mac go up against chicken nuggets, with the former only just taking the crown with 50.4 per cent of votes over 49.6 per cent.
The menu items were split into four groups for knock out rounds.
Group A: Hamburger, McFlurry, mozzarella dippers and Coca-Cola
Group B: Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, pancakes and syrup and cheeseburger
Group C: Fries, chicken McNuggets, McChicken sandwich and milkshake
Group D: Quarter pounder with cheese, sausage and egg McMuffin, chicken selects and double cheeseburger
The Big Mac and chicken nuggets were up against the quarter pounder with cheese and the cheeseburger in the semi-final but just missed out.
There's been a strong reaction to the tournament, with many chicken nugget lovers devastated by the result.
One wrote: "Nahh need a recount of that last one."
Another asked: "How didn't chicken nuggets win?"
