McDonald's offering money off food if you spend £10 - but only today

If you love nothing more than treating yourself to a Big Mac and some fries, or a box of chicken McNuggets, then you're going to want to take advantage of McDonald's deal of the day today.

That's because, the fast food chain are offering their customers who spend £10 or more the chance to save £3 on their meal with their 'Appy Days promotion.

However there is a catch - the deal is only available today (January 12) and ends at Midnight tonight.

So you'll have to be quick if you want to get your hands on a tasty bargain.

How do you get the saving?

It's simple!

All you have to do is download the McDonald's app and take your phone along with you when you go to buy food.

Spend at least £10 and then at the till, show the cashier the deal in the app and the discount will be applied to your food.

Wondering what the best way to make use of the deal is? Foodies over at the Daily Star have got you covered.

They worked out several menu combinations which would get you the most food for the least money.

The first is a feast for one, which gets you a large Big Mac meal (£5.19 including large drink and fries), five chicken selects (£4.49) and an apple pie (99p) for £10.67.

With the discount, the price of all this goes down to just £7.67.

Or if you want a meal for two, you could always try ordering two cheese burgers/mayo chickens (99p each/ £1.98), two medium fries (£1.09 each/£2.18) and two medium drinks (Fanta/ Sprite/ Diet Coke - 99p each/£1.98) plus six McNuggets (£3.09) and a McFlurry to share (89p) for £10.12.

Once you use the deal, the whole lot will have cost £7.12 which is just £3.56 each.

If you miss out on the deal today, don't worry, there will be another one tomorrow!

McDonald's are offering customers a different deal on their My McDonald's app each day until January 26.

The app is available to download on ios and Android devices for free and allows you to order your food ahead and pay on collection.
