McDonald's now offer wedding packages with tiered apple pie cake and balloon bouquet

If you and your other half go together better than a Big Mac and fries, you can celebrate your wedding at a dedicated ceremony in McDonald's.

The fast food chain celebrates long-lasting love with dos including everything from invites through to balloon arches, photo frames and wedding favours.

Sadly for UK burger fans planning to super-size their relationship, it's currently only available in 15 venues in Hong Kong - but those willing to make the trip get an awful lot for their money.

The basic package costs just £348, and includes venue hire, audio equipment and a "party MC".

"Thinking about throwing a really special party for your wedding, engagement, anniversary or bridal shower? Think McDonald's," the official website reads .

"Our Wedding Party packages have just everything you need, including unique venue decoration, customized games and special gifts for bride & groom and your guests.

"Everything will be taken care of by McDonald's. All you need to do is to be there and enjoy the moment of your lifetime."

Your £348 gets you the basic package - including venue hire - but if you really want to ramp up your McSpecial Day there are plenty of extras.

For just over £1,000 you can upgrade to the deluxe Love Forever Party with two McDonald's balloon wedding rings, a balloon bridal bouquet and a party MC.

Then there are extras sucha the "Loving You" table balloons, McDonald's fries photo frames, seat covers, and a 3-tier wedding "cake" made up of boxes and boxes of McDonald's apple pies.

Oh - and in case you think this is some sort of stunt, the service has proved incredibly popular.

First launched in 2011, McDonald's has had to expand the number of venues from just three locations in central Hong Kong to 15 outlets thanks to demand..

McDonald's spokesperson Jessica Lee said: "We started the program because many customers tell us that McDonald's is where they first started dating.

"McDonald's is where their love stories grew," she told  CNBC  in 2014.
