McDonald's lists restaurants re-opening for outdoor dining as rules change

Pubs, cafes and restaurants officially re-opened for outdoor dining on Monday April 26 after being closed since Wales entered alert level four lockdown restrictions in December.

It means people can once again enjoy a pint in a beer garden, a coffee outside and dine al fresco at their favourite venues.

Some supermarket cafes offering outdoor seating have also reopened, you can read more on what Morrisons, Asda and Tesco have said here, while fast-food chains like McDonald's has also shared updates.

The restaurant announced on Monday it was making changes to how some branches operate in line with Government guidelines. McDonald's said: "From today, in line with government guidance, we're reopening 97 restaurants in Scotland for Dine-In and Takeaway.

"We're also opening for Outdoor Dining across Wales from today, and across Northern Ireland from Friday."

McDonald's has listed the restaurants reopening with outdoor seating, including Rhyl, Swansea Morriston, Llanelli and Cardiff Culverhouse Cross.

Newport Coldra, Tonypandy and Abergavenny are also reopening for outdoor dining. A full list of branches offering dine-in outdoors can be found on McDonald's website here.

Customers can also use the restaurant locator to see what services their local McDonald's is offering.

Up until this week McDonald's had only been open for takeaway, drive-thru and McDelivery in Wales.

The fast-food chain also temporarily halted walk-in takeaways in January to "test and validate" additional safety measures. You can read more about this here.
