McDonald's is selling McFlurries and cheeseburgers for 50p each from today

McDonald's will be selling cheeseburgers for 50p, Happy Meals for £1.30 and an entire Big Mac Meal for £2.30 from today.

The new prices will be available to dine in customers on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August thanks to the new Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

With the deal not available for take away or delivery, the burger chain is pushing to make all it's restaurants open again by Monday - with another 137 UK restaurants ready for dine-in customers this week.

And people dining in will see incredible value - with customer favourites cut to just 50p and the chain even brining back its Wrap of the Day deal for just £1.

Michelle Graham-Clare from McDonald’s UK, said: "The Wrap of the Day promotion offers customers a great tasting lunch at an even better price, and with the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, this offer gets even tastier.”

Big Macs will cost less than £2 (SWNS)

Social distancing measures will be in place for people eating in.

That means restaurants will manage the number of customers inside.

When arriving you'll also be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and follow the safety measures laid out.

Food will be served by table-service only with customers able to order directly to their table via the My McDonald’s App, at the till or kiosk.

Customers also have to leave contact using their smart phone to either scan a QR code taking them to a dedicated webpage or visiting that webpage directly with the URL details provided on each table.

The lead member of a group will have to leave a phone number, the date and time of visit and the restaurant number (identified on each table sticker).

Customers are asked to use contactless payment methods as much as possible.
