McDonald's is scrapping four items from its menu today

McDonald’s is removing four items from its menu today ahead of its festive food release.

The popular chain is axing several products, including the Spicy Quarter Pounder burger which left fans divided when it arrived in October.

While some people enjoyed the new burger, others insisted that mixing beef patties with pepper jack cheese, onions, jalapeños, mustard and hot ketchup is “too spicy”.

Another item leaving the menu is the Quarter Pounder Deluxe, which features a beef patty, lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, onions, mayo, ketchup, mustard, and bacon, reports the Daily Star.

The McChicken BLT and Nacho Cheese Wedges are also being removed from the menu.

The news is bound to disappoint some, but it’s not all bad.

McDonald’s is launching its festive menu tomorrow, November 18, so there’ll be plenty of new items to try.

The chain’s biggest burger ever, the Double Big Mac, will be arriving tomorrow, featuring four patties and stacks of cheese, lettuce, onions and Big Mac sauce.

Fans will be able to pick it up for £4.19 on its own or in a meal deal for £5.69.

McDonald’s will also be launching a Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich, along with McDonald’s popular cheese dippers.

For those looking for something sweet, McDonald’s will be introducing a Celebrations McFlurry and a Salted Caramel Latte.
