McDonald's is removing these popular items from the menu

McDonald's recently announced their latest exciting and mouth-watering additions to the menu.

One of the new items, announced on September 22, is made up of two Chicken Selects sandwiched between two garlic naan breads.

But some will be disappointed after the fast food chain revealed that they would also be removing some items from the menu, reports LincolnshireLive.

Three signature burgers are ditched as well as four limited edition items

From tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25, customers will no longer be able to order the 'posh' range of burgers - which include The Classic, The BBQ and The Spicy.

Another of those is the Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, which was only brought back in August 2019 after a 13 years absence.

The last time the Double Quarter Pounder was available in McDonald's was way back in 2006.

Now, after only a limited time on sale, the double beef burger, with cheese, tomato ketchup, mustard, onions and pickles is leaving once again.

The items have now been removed from the menu as of today.

If that weren't enough, the chain are also getting rid of several other popular food items.

McDonald's have also said goodbye to the Spicy Chicken Nuggets they recently introduced, as well as the Twix and Mars McFlurry and Mini McFlurry.

And while we will all mourn the loss of these tasty treats, we will have some others to try - including a Galaxy Salted Caramel McFlurry.

Made from pieces of Galaxy chocolate and salted caramel mixed into soft serve ice cream, the whole thing will cost you £1.39 for a regular or 99p for a mini version.
