McDonald's is offering everyone up to £5 off its food for one week only

McDonald's isn't exactly a restaurant that breaks the bank when you go anyway but it's even cheaper this week.

And that's because the world famous fast food chain is offering customers money off their food.

A trip to the restaurant with the Golden Arches is normally a pretty cheap excursion anyway thanks to options like the Saver Menu and Extra Value Meals but this week Maccy D's are letting you get even more value for your hard earned.

The tasty offer has launched nationwide today, but you'll need to get in quick as it is only running until Sunday, May 5.

And there's one other bit of small print too - you'll need to have the McDonald's app to claim.

If you haven't already got it, it's free and can be downloaded from your App Store.

The offer Every McDonald's app user will have access to all three offers (£1 off £5 spend, £3 off £10 spend and £5 off £20 spend), with each code able to be used once within the week (although not all in the same transaction).

The offer coincides with the launch of McDonald's new Great Taste of America burgers.

Launching from May 1 and available across an eight-week period, the burgers are inspired by the tastes of New York, Mississippi, Kansas, South Carolina, Alabama and Nashville, each made with their own twist.

Featuring crispy onions, sweet barbecue sauce, a white barbecue sauce, sweet and spicy ketchup and a mustard sauce, the Great Tastes of America range promises to 'have you feelin’ all American in no time'.
