McDonald's is selling limited edition Big Mac sauce dipping pots in UK restaurants for the first time ever.
Last month the popular fast food chain announced its plans, delighting Big Mac fans up and down the country.
From today customers can pop into store and purchase the pots, which are already being resold on eBay for ten times the price. Each 50ml pot of the 'secret recipe sauce' we all know and love costs 50p.
Unfortunately the sale of the much loved condiment will be short-lived as McDonald's has confirmed there is only a limited amount of stock on sale over the next six weeks while stocks last.
Yesterday to celebrate the launch of the sauce coming to the UK, McDonald's gave away 250 limited edition bottles of Big Mac® Special Sauce.
Lucky customers at one London restaurant, which was announced on the fast food chain's Instagram account, were offered the bottles on a first come, first serve basis.
The news will be welcomed by fans as over the years the secret sauce has garnered something of a cult following.
A few years ago a limited edition bottle of the Big Mac burger sauce fetched a whopping £65,000 on eBay after a two-week bidding frenzy, raising money for charity in the process.
Speaking at the time a McDonald's spokesman confirmed: “The Big Mac burger sauce is so hard to get hold of.”
"The bottle will be delivered to its owner in a special collector’s box, with a voucher for a free burger. trying to confirm after a two-week bidding frenzy that the “incredible” winning offer was genuine."
