McDonald’s is launching its Christmas menu today including the Celebrations McFlurry

Looking for a way to ward off the midweek slump? McDonald's is launching its Christmas 2020 menu today - and it includes a double Big Mac and Celebrations McFlurry.

The fast food chain's new festive offerings will be available for six weeks, until December 29th. But just what is McDonald's offering for Christmas this year? You can find out the tasty details below...

First up on the McDonald's festive menu is a double Big Mac, featuring a whopping four patties instead of two, as well as cheese, lettuce, onions and Big Mac sauce.

The massive burger first appeared on US menus earlier this year but this is the first time it has been launched in the UK.

There has previously been the Mega Mac, which also had four patties, but McDonald's says its double Big Mac is different.

The double Big Mac is the biggest burger McDonald's has ever sold, followed by the triple cheeseburger.

It's available as a single sandwich for £4.19, or as a meal with a side and drink for £5.69.

Next on the seasonal menu is a Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich, which has two pieces of crispy chicken with a spicy jerk sauce, bacon, pepper jack cheese, onion and lettuce in a sourdough bun.

It can be purchased on its own for £4.39 or you can get it as part of a meal for £5.69.

As for dessert, McDonald's is offering a new Celebrations McFlurry - which has pieces of Maltesers, Galaxy, Mars, Twix and a caramel sauce.

The indulgent treat comes in two sizes, a mini version for 99p or the regular for £1.39.

Need a boost? The fast food chain will be keeping its caramel latte on the menu - which is priced at £1.69. It's described by the chain as "a hug in a mug".

And returning to the menu is McDonald's cheese melt dippers, which are priced at £1.79 for four dippers, or £4.79 for a sharebox.

The Christmas menu from McDonald's will be available until December 29th, so you'll have six weeks to enjoy the seasonal offerings.

The latest national lockdown means McDonald's UK restaurants are now closed for dine-in customers.

While they are closed, you can still order food for takeaway, click and collect or delivery.

McDonald's is available on Just Eat and Uber Eats, depending on where you live - but there's an extra fee for delivery.

There are currently around 1,300 McDonald's restaurants in the UK. To find out your closest one, use the online finder tool.
