McDonald's is bringing back spicy nuggets - but only for a limited time

For anyone that's enough turkey and chocolate for an entire year, McDonald's has the perfect antidote for any festive fatigue... Spicy nuggets.

As the fast food chain has just announced that it's bringing back its famous chicken treats, but with a special edition spicy exterior.

Priced the same as regular McNuggets (£3.19 for six, £3.49 for nine, or £4.99 for a 20 sharebox), the Spicy McNuggets are made with a specially developed recipe and come with a Tabasco based dip for anyone who wants an extra hot hit.

Hitting McDonald's branches all across the country in the New Year, you'll be able to get your mitts on McDonald's popular spicy nuggets from 11am on the 2nd January 2020.

But you'll need to be quick, as they're only available for a very limited period, appearing on the menu for a mere four weeks.

Ideal for anyone that missed out last time round when the spicy nuggets first hit stores in August, or for avid fans that have had to do with the standard version ever since, if the latest trial is a success, perhaps we could see the spicy nuggets stay on the menu full-time soon, like in Australia.

The spicy nuggets comeback follows a successful debut from the hot chicken snack, which proved so popular, that fans took to social media to demand their return.

Originally launching in the UK in August 2018 for an eight-week period, they have also been trialled in the US and Asia.
