McDonald's Ireland announces return of six fan favourites to the menu

McDonald's Ireland has announced the return of six items to its menu.

The fast food giant has been operating a reduced menu to ease pressure on its staff, who now must work under social distancing guidelines.

Among the returning items are the double quarter pounder with cheese and all three flavours of the chicken legend.

A spokesman said: "As our restaurant teams adjust to new ways of working, we are able to test returning familiar favourites to the menu whilst still enabling our employees to work safely.

"After a short test earlier this month, the following will return to the menu in Irish restaurants from today:

  • Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese
  • Chicken Legend - returning with all 3 flavours; Cool Mayo, Spicy and BBQ
  • Apple Pie
  • Toffee Latte
  • Millionaire’s Donut
  • Carrot Sticks

"The Apple Pie and Chicken Legend range have been among the most frequently requested ‘missing items’ from the menu. Whilst the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, which proved incredibly popular in August 2019, returns for the long-haul.

"As the weather turns cooler, the iconic Apple Pie returns to the menu in Ireland, joined by the popular Millionaire’s Donut and Toffee Latte."
