McDonald's in Dumbarton reopens to sit-in diners from today

McDonald's in Dumbarton reopened its doors for sit-in diners today (Wednesday) for the first time since lockdown was introduced.

The St James Retail Park store allowed customers to sit in and eat following a successful trial at specific venues across the country.

Strict rules are in place to ensure that social distancing is observed, whilst capacity in the restaurant is reduced. Hand sanitiser stations are also in place by the door.

Floor-markings and signposting inside and outside restaurants has also be introduced to help enable social distancing, whilst touchpoints including self-order screens, card readers and doors will be sanitised at least every 30 minutes

The fast food giant has also installed Perspex screens in the kitchens, service areas and drive-thru windows and additional protective equipment has been provided for restaurant teams, including disposable gloves for people in customer and courier facing positions and face coverings.

Balloch's McDonald's meanwhile remains closed to sit-in diners.
