McDonald's has launched table service in restaurants across the UK - this is how you do it

Queuing is seemingly closer to becoming a thing of the past if McDonald's latest introduction is anything to go by.

The fast-food chain has launched its very own table service in its restaurants across the UK which it has been described as the "Wetherspoon's app but for Maccies."

Visitors to the golden arches just need to download the free McDonald's app to give it a go.

And it couldn't be simpler.

All you have to do is place your order via the app and select the "eat in" option.

Then you need to choose "table service" as the collection method, enter the number of the table and pay for what you have ordered.

It's all done via the app (McDonald's)

And voila. Just sit back and wait for your food to arrive.

The table service option is available in all of McDonald's 1,249 branches up and down the country.

Maybe you can try it out with the new festive menu before it goes back into hiding for another year.

Or maybe you'll wait until the New Year and if you're giving Veganuary a whirl, you're in look.

From January 2, the fast food giant is introducing an entirely vegan menu.

The Veggie Dippers will be the staple which are filled with a red pepper rice, tomato pesto and split pea mix and can be a part of any meal.

The My McDonald’s App can be downloaded for Apple or Android phones here.
