McDonald's has axed these two popular items from its menu

McDonald's has announced it will be axing two popular burgers from its menu today.

Customers will no longer be able to get their hands on the Canadian Stack and the Indian chicken burger, reports Manchester Evening News.

The burgers, which are part of McDonald's Tastes Of The World promotion, will be replaced with the Jamaican Chicken burger and the Swiss Stack.

The Jamaican chicken burger contains two pieces of succulent crispy chicken, Pepper Jack cheese and a sweet and spicy jerk sauce. Each burger comes in at 644 calories.

Jamaican Chicken burgers will be available to buy from 23 October to 19 November.

Each burger will start at £4.19 for an individual, or £5.89 for a medium-sized meal with chips and a drink.

The Swiss stack has already proven a hit with customers in previous years, and is returning to restaurants for 2019. It contains two succulent beef patties with smoky bacon and Emmental cheese sauce. Each Swiss Stack burger comes in at 721 calories.

Swiss Stack burgers will be in restaurants from 23 October up until 5 November.

The price for an individual burger is set to start at £4.39, or £5.99 for a medium-sized meal.
