McDonald's franchise owner sues fast food brand for racial discrimination

Herb Washington was once the largest Black franchise owner for McDonald's in the United States, but now he's suing the brand, claiming he suffered racial discrimination. Washington says that Black franchises are offered less lucrative locations, while the company claims he mismanaged his businesses. Also, New York's Attorney General has begun legal action against Amazon, claiming it did not adequately protect its workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Letitia James has been investigating the e-commerce giant after staff staged a walkout in protest over safety measures.
