McDonald's finally confirms date the breakfast menu will return

McDonald's breakfasts are officially making a comeback.

Since reopening, the fast-food chain has operated a limited menu only which hasn't included breakfast.

However, the restaurant has announced its plans to start trialling the return of its popular morning service.

From June 24, a number of McDonald's restaurants will test the breakfast menu once again.

If successful McDonald's breakfast will return to branches across the UK.

What's more, McDonald's also confirmed the famous McMuffin will definitely be an option when breakfast does return.

McDonald's said: "From June 24, a number of restaurants will test the return of breakfast service. If successful, we hope to reintroduce the much-missed McMuffin across the UK and Ireland later in July.

"We will confirm which restaurants nearer the time."

The new statement was echoed by McDonald’s UK and Ireland CEO, Paul Pomroy, who said in his latest update: "I hope that within a few weeks we will be able to start trialling breakfast service.

Adding: "Over the coming months, we will explore how to extend the menu, increase our opening hours and reintroduce those much-missed McMuffins at breakfast."
