McDonald’s debuted a limited edition Double Big Mac this week, much to the excitement - and disgust - of some fans.
Available until November 16, the Double Big Mac boasts 4 patties, one slice of cheese and an extra bun in the middle.
Social media reacted to the announcement of the Double Big Mac with thousands of comments.
One criticism was the lack of cheese inside the new McDonald's burger.
“One slice of cheese on 4 burgers is shameful,” said a customer. Another person criticised the burger: "Hardly a Double Big Mac, could at least throw a 2nd slice of cheese on there.”
A Twitter user seemed none too excited about the debut. “We don't need a double big Mac, we need bagels back,” they wrote.
The re-release of the Double Big Mac comes alongside five other new items at McDonalds, including the Crunchie McFlurry. It also sees the departure of six items such as mozzarella dippers and the Chocolate Cadbury McFlurry.
