McDonald's fans recreate cheese bites using simple ingredients - and they look incredible

A McDonald's fan has shown people how they can easily make their own cheese bites at home.

The fast food chain has currently shut all its 1,350 restaurants in the UK due to the coronavirus pandemic, leaving many McDonald's fans craving their favourite snacks.

McDonald's has previously revealed how to make their Sausage and Egg McMuffin, as well as releasing a recipe for its famous hash browns.

But now two foodie fans have recreated their own cheese bites.

Rees Edwards-Caulier and his girlfriend Kirsty Simpson went viral on TikTok after posting a tutorial for the cheesy treats.

The pair use Babybels in the recipe - which are dipped in flour, egg and then breadcrumbs.

The Babybels are then deep fried until golden, and the end result looks delicious.

The clip racked up 2.4 million views on the site and left other users wanting to try the recipe.

One person commented: "Can’t lie that looks so good."

Another said: "Wow it's really amazing."

"I did it one hour ago... They were so good" admitted another.

Other fans of the fast food chain have been sharing their recipes, with one woman showing how she made her own 'fakeaway'.

She said: "I looked up a template for the chip box online and copied it and coloured it in. We just grabbed some frozen chips, nuggets and burgers from M&S and just made the same order they get when they go.

"It cost us the piece of card and felt tip ink as we already had the ingredients in, so it cost us nothing in total!"

People have also been trying to make their own Big Macs at home, which even includes a recipe for the famous Big Mac sauce.
