McDonald's fans fume as restaurant is forced to close due to major IT issue

A massive IT issue has forced a Scots McDonald's to close for more than 12 hours as fans hit out on social media.

The restaurant at Earls Gate in Grangemouth shut shortly after 9pm last night, Monday August, 2, after a power cut in the area.

Scottish Power says supplies were restored within 60 minutes.

But McDonald's bosses say the problem is still having a major impact on them and staff are currently unable to operate due to equipment being down.

It's left fans furious with them taking to social media.

One person wrote: "I am rough as f*** and need a Big Mac pronto, this power cut better be sorted soon."

Another said: "I've literally been trying to order a McD's since 11am this morning and not been able to, what is happening?"

A third commented: "Right McDonald's enough is enough now. Get me 20 chicken Nuggets to me house f****** pronto."

A fourth said: "I'll be filing a complaint to Ronald McDonald in the morning."

A spokesperson for McDonald's told Falkirk Live that they are working to restore a normal service as soon as possible.
