McDonald’s fans in Liverpool can finally rejoice as the chain announces even more restaurant openings.
Following the announcement yesterday that eight Merseyside restaurants would open their drive thrus, the fast food chain has now confirmed an additional 20.
Restaurants opening in Liverpool include Great Homer Street, Edge Lane, Rice Lane and more.
Today’s announcement takes the total number of McDonald’s restaurants open to 1,019, with a further 261 drive thrus reopening and eight reopening for delivery.
Since the announcement last week that McDonald’s would be reopening a further 975 drive-thrus across the country, fans have been anxiously waiting for the release of which stores would reopen - with many of the updates disappointing fans in Merseyside who were waiting for their fix.
At reopened restaurants there will be a range of rules in place to ensure that things go smoothly and that staff and customers are safe, including contactless payments and face masks.
Each car will also be limited to one order of up to £25. It is worth remembering McDonald's sites will be operating under reduced hours with drive-thrus open from 11am - 10pm.
