McDonald's Double Big Mac burger ingredients baffles fans

McDonald's officially launched its Christmas menu 2020 this week.

Among the delicious options is the brand new Double Big Mac and the Jerk Chicken burger, as well as the Celebrations McFlurry and the Salted Caramel Latte.

As usual fans of the fast-food chain raced to try the new menu options, leaving their review for others on social media.

But while the new offerings have gone down a treat with McDonald's lovers, the inside of the Double Big Mac has left many with questions, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The giant new burger is exactly the same as a normal Big Mac, but double the size. It consists of not one, not two, but four beef patties.

However, after McDonald's posted a picture of the new burger on Twitter, many people were left confused about how much cheese is inside it.

"How can this lack so much cheese?!" asked one Twitter user.

Another added: "One slice of cheese? Nah that's not working for me!"

"Be alright if that top burger wasn't going to be dry as hell. No sauce or cheese on them," said a third.

A fourth replied: "What? Just one slice of cheese?"

Someone else, however, shared a clever hack to get around the problem.

He suggested: "Having just ordered one of these, try putting "Extra Cheese" and "Extra Big Mac Sauce" on in the Customise menu. The latter even seems to be free."

And McDonald's agreed, with a spokesperson telling the publication: ""Our new Double Big Mac has been an incredibly popular new launch on our festive menu this year, and we're delighted with the positive reaction it's received so far.

"As with any menu item, customers can choose to customise their order, whether that's adding a slice of cheese, extra Big Mac sauce or removing the pickles."

It comes after McDonald's had to axe four items from the menu to make way for the new Christmas menu 2020.
