McDonald’s finally launched the hotly-anticipated spicy chicken nuggets on Wednesday , and after weeks of waiting, people rushed to stores across the nation to try them.
However, many have been left bitterly disappointed by the McNuggets, and claim that they’re not quite the spicy taste sensation they were expecting.
Taking to Twitter, foodies rushed to express their opinion, and it’s safe to say that they haven’t held back.

Writing on the social media platform, one disgruntled McDonald’s customer said: “The new spicy nuggets from @McDonaldsUK aren’t remotely spicy.”
“Save yourselves the money and don’t bother with the new spicy nuggets. Rubbish,” added another.
“The McDonalds spicy nuggets were actually so disappointing,” tweeted a third person.
While somebody else vented: “Wish the spicy nuggets were more spicy.”
A spokesperson for McDonald’s said: “We’re delighted to launch our long-awaited Spicy McNuggets in the UK and Ireland, which have seen customers queue for hours to get their hands on a sneak preview box ahead of today.
“When eaten on their own, Spicy McNuggets provide a perfect hint of heat and this can be dialled up for spice lovers when paired with our new Tabasco-based Spicy Tomato Dip.”
However, not everyone has been left disappointed by the new McDonald’s offering, as some people are loving the new nuggets.
“Spicy chicken nuggets are the best thing fallen onto this earth, love is love,” exclaimed one happy customer on Twitter.
Another added: “McDonald’s new spicy nuggets are unreal.”
If you do want to give the nuggets a try, McDonalds is currently offering £3 off a £10 spend, and £5 off a £20 spend.
That means you can essentially get a 20 sharing box (RRP £4.99) for free if you spend £20, or a box of six (RRP £3.49) for 49p if you spend £10.
To redeem the offer, you just need to download the McDonald’s app, order your food and apply the voucher on there (this appears on the app homepage).
The offer is only available until Sunday August 11, and terms and conditions apply.
