McDonald's customer left fuming by 'disgusting' cheeseburger served to his son

A dad has slammed McDonald's after claiming the fast food chain served up a "disgusting" cheeseburger to his son after he had requested extra mayonnaise with his meal.

Xavier Quillien visited his local branch in Walton-on-Thames with his 10-year-old son but says he has "never seen a burger so badly made" when staff handed over the food.

The dad was "horrified" by the result and fumed that asking to modify a meal by adding more sauce does not justify serving up inedible food.

Xavier said: "The fact that my son asked for some extra mayo is not giving them any excuse. They should have added a reasonable amount of extra mayo and not the full pot.

“And they should have at least put all the ingredients together properly."

He says when he showed the burger to the staff they apologised and handed over a replacement, but the new burger was missing tomato and had to be taken back a second time.

The 42-year-old added that the serving staff were "really polite" and helpful in dealing with the situation, but claimed it's not the first time they have encountered problems at the restaurant.

"My son was telling me earlier that last time he ordered a cheeseburger, the burger came without cheese," he said.

“This is disappointing because we really go to McDonald's for the kids.

"The service staff are trained to be smiling and helpful but the cooks do a rubbish job.

"We rated the restaurant 0 out of 10 because, at the end of the day, I think this is about the food – not the customer service.

“We can see directly the level of attention that the cooks are putting into it.”

The dad uploaded a photo of the meal to a local Facebook group, where it racked up comments as one user asked: "What is it meant to be?" and another labelled it "McMurder".

McDonald's has been contacted for comment.
