McDonald's confirm the date when all drive-thrus in UK will open

McDonald’s is to reopen all of its drive-thrus and many more restaurants for delivery next week.

The fast-food giant said all of its 924 drive-thru restaurants will be up and running by next Thursday, June 4.

They will also offer delivery from 75 restaurants across the UK through Uber Eats or Just Eat.

No word yet on whether any of the Glasgow sites will be delivering but we are lovin' the news that we can drive under the Golden arches once more.

A McDonald’s spokesperson said: "This means every Drive Thru in the UK and Ireland will reopen between Tuesday and Thursday next week and we will start to expand the availability of McDelivery too."

McDonald’s enraged Scots by deciding to only re-open restaurants in the south of England earlier this month for delivery only.

The fast food franchise was slammed when it emerged fifteen branches across London, Kent and Essex would start offering deliveries at the start of May - but locations in Scotland and North England would remain shut.

Luckily the wait for our dream drive-thru is nearly over - it's the return of the Big Mac!
