Police were forced to impose a disorder notice to break up a "large disturbance" involving more than 100 youths at a McDonald's overnight.
The huge crowds gathered at the McDonald's branch in Plymouth around midnight on Friday reportedly abusing staff and customers, Plymouth Live reports .
Officers were dispatched to the fast food chain and used a dispersal order to clear the area, taking the other troublemakers home.
Since that time, police have appealed to parents on Facebook about the incident, asking if they knew where their child is.
Charles Cross Policing Team posted: "Do you know where your child is?? … Last night there was a large disorder at McDonalds Pomphlett Road Plymstock Plymouth.
"There were over 100 youths who were being abusive towards staff and other customers and a food ordering machine was damaged."
"Police were called and due to the number of youths both male and female 5 doubled crewed police cars and a police sergeant were deployed.
"Police evoked a dispersal notice and the youths were either taken home or dispersed from the area. All this happen at MIDNIGHT!!"
"Parents please insure that you know where your child is for their safe and the safety of the staff and general public.
"Action will be take by Police by way of the Anti Social Behaviour process and McDonalds will issue banning notices to cover the whole of Plymouth if this continues! #notacceptable #pcsobob #enjoynotannoy #asb #plymstock #safeguardingchildren #keepingthemsafe".
There are unconfiremed reports across social media linking the youths involved with a charity sixth form event which finished earlier in the evening.
It is not the first time an incident has been reported at that McDonald's chain involving young people.
Last April, around 30 teenagers terrorised staff by "spitting ice" and throwing McFlurries at them.
