McDonald's brings more favourites back to its menu

McDonald’s has announced the return of the lunchtime staples, Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken and Crispy BBQ & Bacon Wraps from July 29.

Customers will also be able to get one flavour of wraps every day of the week for £1.99 through the Wrap of the Day deal.

The announcement comes ahead of the start the Government’s Eat Out To Help Out campaign, offering customers 50% off their food and drink bill, up to £10 per person, when dining in restaurants across the UK on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August

McDonald’s is still offering a limited menu due to social distancing measures.

With the return of Wraps to the menu and the Eat Out To Help Out campaign, customers will now be able to get the Wrap of the Day deal for £1 when dining in restaurants Monday-Wednesday in August.

Michelle Graham-Clare, Vice President Food and Marketing, McDonald’s UK and Ireland said: “Over the last few weeks, we’ve been testing which menu items we can reintroduce whilst enabling our restaurant teams to work safely. We’ve heard loud and clear on social media that customers are missing the Big Flavour Wraps range, so we’re delighted to be bringing back the two most popular flavours this week, alongside our side salad. The Wrap of the Day promotion offers customers a great tasting lunch at an even better price, and with the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, this offer gets even tastier.”

Alongside the return of the two wraps, the restaurant company is also bringing back side salads, increasing the options available to customers with every meal.

From July 27, 144 more restaurants in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland opened for dine in, with the rest opening in time for the launch of the Eat Out To Help Out campaign.
