McDonald's announces its Christmas menu - when it will be available in the North East

It's out with the old and in with the new, as fast food giant McDonald’s unveils this year's festive menu.

Double Big Mac and Chicken Legends are coming off the menu from 17 November to make way for two Christmas themed burgers, Festive Stack and Festive Crispy Chicken.

The new Festive Crispy Chicken includes a crispy-coated chicken breast fillet with cranberry sauce, sage and onion mayo, bacon, red onion, lettuce, and cheddar cheese in a glazed poppy and sesame seed bun.

Also new is the Festive Stack, with two beef burgers with a red onion relish, white cheese sauce, bacon, crispy onions, red onion, lettuce, cheddar cheese in a glazed brioche style bun.

Both burgers are priced at £4.89 or £6.39 as a meal and are available for just six weeks from November 17, so fans will have to be quick of the mark.

The Chicken Legends will return to the menu in January.

The fast food chain 's Mozzarella Dippers are making way for the popular festive variation - Cheese Melt Dippers, breaded camembert dippers served with a tomato dip.

2016 was the last time the Festive Pie was on the UK McDonald's menu (McDonalds)

The cheesy bites are available as a bag of four for £1.89 or as a Sharebox for £5.09.

Fans of the Crunchie McFlurry will bid a fond farewell, as it is replaced with the Celebrations McFlurry, featuring Maltesers clusters, Galaxy chocolate drops, caramel pieces, Mars chewy nuggets and Twix biscuits, topped with a milk chocolate sauce. The McFlurry is £1.49, with a mini version available at 99p.
