McArthurGlen Designer Outlet East Midlands makes decision on Queen's funeral Bank Holiday closure

A large designer outlet has made the decision to close on the day of the Queen's funeral. The McArthurGlen Designer Outlet East Midlands, over the border in South Normanton, Derbyshire, has issued a statement telling customers it will be closed for the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Monday, September 19.

It will then reopen with normal trading hours on Tuesday, September 20. The announcement has also been placed on the designer outlet's website.

The Government says the bank holiday will allow individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate her reign. It will also mark the final day of the period of national mourning.
