MCA to raise ticket prices for India-Sri Lanka T20I

MUMBAI: The Mumbai Cricket Association is set to increase the prices of the tickets which are available for public for the India versus Sri Lanka T20I on January 3 at the Wankhede Stadium by 10 to 15% this time. A decision to this effect was taken at the MCA's Apex Council meet on Friday.

The Wankhede last hosted a T20I between India and the West Indies on December 6, 2019. "With costs having gone up, the budget for organizing a T20I has increased since then, so we felt a need to increase the ticket prices for the public slightly. The (subsidized) ticket prices for the MCA's clubs and donors (7,000) will remain the same," a source told TOI.

MCA invites sponsorship for women's tourneys, camps

Meanwhile, the MCA on its website on Thursday invited 'Expressions of Interest (EOI)' for sponsorship of its women's cricket tournaments and summer vacation camps.

The MCA Women's League is scheduled to start this month. It is set to be the biggest league with 58 teams likely to participate in the tournament.
