MUMBAI: In some good news for the city's club cricketers, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), in an Apex Council meeting on Tuesday, decided to organise a 'President's Cup' for all the maidan clubs from A to G Division.
"The A and B Division matches will be played in the T20 format, while the rest of the division games will be played in the One-day format," a source told TOI. This move, clearly aimed at giving opportunities to the city's club cricketers, follows the Apex Council's decision on October 28 to suspend the Kanga League for the 2022-23 season due to the non-completion of 5 matches of A & B division.
The MCA will also launch an inter-club league tournament for the city's women cricketers.
