MBBS students to learn about Deendayal, Ambedkar

INDORE: Around 175 medical students admitted to MBBS course in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College will learn about biographies of Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya and Dr BR Ambedkar in a week-long foundation course.

The lectures on biographies on political scions were scheduled for Tuesday by medical education commissioner Nishant Warbade in a foundation course that began on Monday.

The biographies were included in the foundation course of MBBS students for the first time this year after a state government decision taken amidst the pandemic. The MBBS students of MGMMC along with others admitted to medical colleges in the state will learn about these leaders.“We will teach about the leaders, ethics, and best practices to the students during the foundation course. Various faculty members will give introduction to the subjects, college, and medical education to the students,” Dean of MGM Medical College Dr Sanjay Dixit said. Dr Dixit further added, “Medical college is also all set for replacing Hippocratic oath with Charak Shapath from this new session.” TNN
